The Seed for That's Just Wrong!
The seed for That’s Just Wrong! was planted when I taught at the International School of Brussels in the 1990. One day two students came up to my desk. We got to talking, and I asked them what they talked about at dinner. The girl excitedly says, “My dad comes home and he talks about all kinds of crazy stuff, half of it I don’t even understand, but it’s always really interesting!” The boy then said, “My dad comes home and complains about his job.”
That was very hard to hear. And I thought to myself, “I would love to make it possible for everyone to talk about “all kinds of crazy stuff” at dinner.” Only took 30 years to come up with a solution!
